Where are you from and how did you get here?
What is it about business and start-ups that so interests you?
I have always had a passion for business growth and development, having spent many years in the world of business whilst working as an accountant. However, being at the heart of the business journey, the start-up stage is different. To be surrounded by entrepreneurs with creative minds, innovative ideas and a drive and determination to succeed is inspiring. However, perhaps the biggest inspiration is witnessing – over the duration of the programme – the growth and transformation of the entrepreneur themselves.
When did you become a New Frontiers PM and what inspired you to become one?
I commenced the role in January 2018. Having worked for many years in financial roles, the role of Programme Manager offered an opportunity to move into a more creative environment, to use my skillset to assist a wide range of entrepreneurs, with a diverse range of ideas grow and develop their businesses from a concept.
What do you feel are the qualities you bring to the role?
My background certainly brings its advantages to the role, as finance is an area most entrepreneurs struggle with. This enables me to be in a position to assist the entrepreneur through the financial elements and stages of starting and growing a business. I also feel I can assist them in that critical early decision-making process, leading them along the business journey itself, whilst keeping them focused on what matters most.
